Where do you live? That will determine where the best place is to get the foam from.
What style of outfitting are you after (foam bulkhead or thighstraps, full foam saddle or console)? That will determine how much foam you need.

A console is a plastic base for the outfitting, Dagger/Harmony used to make one. They are had to find, but make the job easier.

My guess is that for the type ou outfitting you want to do you need about 5-6 square feet of 3" thick foam to build a good bulkhead and saddle out of it.
With carefully thought out cutting ( and glueing of the scraps (not my strength  ) you might be able to get away with 4 square feet of foam as the absolute minimum.

As far as wher5e to get it from is kind of tricky, i knoe that MEC in Toronto (and most likely also in Ottawa carries minicell foam, but it is pricey, they charge can$17 per square foot, so you are looking at ~Can$68 to 102 for the foam alone, plus shipping.
The problem with Sweet composites is that they are in the US.
While the same square footage of foam there costs you only between US$19 and 34, shipping across the border and customs brokerage can quickly cost you more than the foam itself.
My suggestion is to call both MEC as well as Sweet Composites and ask them for a quote andthat includes shipping.
