Louie and butt boater
Please lighten up, the whole thing with me and butt boater is about 95 % in jest. They have always got some smart BUTT comment about us and our boats and I have always got a better one to come back at them with. It is hard to bullPOOP a bullPOOPER. That what this whole March Single Sticker get together is about. Canoes were the first factor in this countrY’S whitewater history and a bunch of Jonnie come lately tryinG to make us sIt in the back of the bus ain't right. I really love a bunch of girl boaters and am extremely fond of some of the guys who paddle girls boats. I even claim three of them as my own Wig ( works for Jackson), Mark Cumknock ( more first decent than most) Jay Warren ( ain't sure why he ended up as one of mine). I think everyone of my first deScents were at the urginG and work of some butt boat, hades fire even the 1st open boat run of Yellow creek yesterday I call a pod to get the low down on it before we went ( he hadn't done it but he had walked it. Terry Smith, Trey Coleman, Bill Thorton, hades and a lot more of these wimps I am happy to call friends (I wouldn't let either of daughters go out with one of them however). Please don't pay too much attention to what I post until you have meet me. I have had some people in the kiddy pool hate my guts till they meet me and boated with me and then they like me (ain't sure what is up with that ) Please don't take what you read on the internet too seriously HECKfire you'll end up think that ALIENS are visitinG, the moon walk was done in a Hollywood studio, and 911 was a goverNment plot, Please reserve JUDGMENT till you have all the fact and have meet me. People about this March single sticker thing please get involved and help do something for our side of the sport, not to mention the fact that the GDI club here in Lenoir City can help you get on some really quality runs that ain't in no guide book. Just think you could be sittinG around some camp fire listen to some hot shot kid butt boater talkinG about his hair run on Tellico and you could casualLy mention that Tellico is OK but has he ever run SANTEETLAH, it great you can watch their little EGO's draw up.

We do need to organize to raise the level of canoeing in the public eye and why not have fun doin it. Now Louie can you promise warm weather on the plateau in March?

hey louie
ditto what sdbrassfield said...but we gotta talk about this girl boat reference, why you wanna slam us girls? Okay, let me rephrase that. Calling a kayak a girlie boat is just down right disrespectful to us girls

I agree with Heidi! Girls who paddle open canoes deserve respect - lots of respect.
All this talk about raising the level of canoeing in the public eye and having fun doing it has got me thinking about loading up my boat and heading south to paddle.

It is all a mater of perspective.
Lady you talkin to a guy who doesn't cuss in front of ladies, opens doors for them, and stand up when they come in the room. I'll be the first top admit I'll never be the boater Carrie AShton, Risa, or Rockann is. Please reread my post and pay attention to what I said this time. However you being from NY where you all tend to try and regulate everyone every behavior. I can see why you think the way you do. Oh large steaming pile of dog doo I just reread your post and saw the smilely face disreguard most of what I said above in this reply. I would have deleated it but I'd, but I'd already hit the summit button. BTW I'm the one who coined the sayin " Do you know why a women paddles a open boat ? Because her Balls/ Overies are to big to fit in a Kayak" Beside any female who paddles with a single blade, ain't a girl she is a women, a real women, I don't care if she is only 12 years old.

I've used that one a time of two especially after my first Grand Canyon gang gave me a set of really big balls. I've also been know to respond to kayakers that "half the stick equals twice the chick"Louie wrote:" Do you know why a women paddles a open boat ? Ok...
I guess it's time to lock this thread.
From my perspective, I want to keep this an open, free community where folks can post what they feel and think and share information about CBoating with one another.
We have to balance letting folks express themselves in the ways they choose with trying to make sure other folks don't get too offended. Not easy in today's society, though quite frankly pretty easy on this board usually.
So, whether or not I should put this in writing, I will. From my standpoint:
1) Louie has many positive things to contribute to this community BUT
2) Louie does not always phrase things in the most uncontroversial style...this gets him banned from other boards occasionally.
So, let's all try and "play nice"...folks taking things in stride and realizing we all have different ways of expressing ourselves, and other folks (and Louie is not alone here) "toning it down" a little and to keep opinions clear and what may be considered rude comments to a minimum.
Thank you all....
Adam
