Hi, has anyone an idea of a good calendar with a least some c-content in it ?
Maybe the AW-calendar 2007 ? http://www.americanwhitewater.org/conte ... play/full/
Maybe we should do it be ourself...

2007 calendar ?

I could...
I'm currently working on new designs for the cboat store for 2007 (hopefully up and running for Dec. 1)
As I was working I noticed several new products we can print which includes a wall calendar (several sizes and vertical and horizontal)
So... I could pull together a cboat calendar for the store and it could be available Dec. 1 as well - however I need to know if there are good images here within the gallery that I should use or maybe you all have some "amazing" images that just must be shared. I can not only create a custom cover - but a different image can be set for each month.
What do you all think?
I'd be happy to color correct and organize all the images - my only worry is that I'd have to have SirAdam check the pictures for technique and good boating shot - I'd look at it mostly for the art and good photograph angle.
Let me know.

For the European c-boaters:
The GOC (German Open Canoe) is a club especially for c-boaters (http://www.g-o-c.de). They collect canoeing pictures over the year and print a wall calendar for every member (and some extra for sale/give away through members of the club).
Contents are mainly touring shots, some of them not really up-to-standard quality wise, but it's a start. And if they get better pictures the quality might improve... (that's all true for the 2006 edition, I haven't seen the new 2007 calendar yet).
They don't have a shop for ordering, so if you like to have one, you need to know a member of the GOC.
Commercial wise: the German KANUmagazin prints high quality calendars every year. The previews of the touring calender show only a few canoeing shots (http://www.tmms-verlag.de/touring_preview.asp), none in the whitewater edition (http://www.tmms-verlag.de/whitewater_preview.asp). If you've got really really good shots of us c-boaters for the next years calendar I'm sure the KANUmagazin is interested (they pay too!). Contact redaktion@kanumagazin.com
Last (and least): the Open Canoe Journal, another German website dedicated to c-boaters tried to put a wall calendar together. But due to lack of suitable pics they abandoned the idea. See the forum: http://www.open-canoe-journal.de
This information of mine doesn't really help in getting one but shows that there are peolpe out there who try and with some little help from you all... (this includes me too )

Hello NateOC, Taniwha and adkSara,
to my surprise people here in the forum don`t seem to be interested in a c-calendar all too much.
But maybe when if you would sell it - everybody would want one. One never knows...
To bring out a really interesting calendar I think it would be better to ask people to send you pix adkSara and mix it with pics from the galleries (but you would have to ask all the photographers of the galleries for the rights to print them.)
Much greetings Frank

Calendar
I'd be interested in a calendar.
It would be better than my other paddling calendars that have more kayak than canoe shots
Hopefully you can pull something together Sara
Thanks,
MB
