Well, I must admit this Christmas almost wasn't "normal".

You see, I've had 30 years of white Christmas's ...it ALWAYS snows.

Except this year.

So, I had to take matters in to my own hands.

Unfortunately I only had the snow gun running for an hour (it warmed up too much...I started making snow at 7 am, finished around 8.) But, I do have a snow man left in the yard still:)

For the curious I found plans online at SnowAtHome.com , and made the SG1 and SG3 from the free plans (admittedly the SG3 nozzles cost $52). SG3 is definitely the way to go.

At least it's one way to have "white water" in front of my house...and make sure I keep my "perfect record" of white Christmas's 8)

Adam
That is so cool! You amaze me!
How much water did you utilize and did you use a pond or public supply.
Also did you track the wet and dry bulb at time of production? Just interested in relation to temp and production! I might have to look in to this.
But then we are just now getting some white stuff!

Aw shucks, you're right -too much time. I keep chipping away at it, converting a little bit more...

I checked out the snow machine, cool, but if I made it, it wouldn't last here! http://www.snowathome.com/weather/snow2 ... &submit=GO

Mybe no white Christmas, but we did have the Christmas Eggnog French Toast... With maple syrup...

You did THAT in ONE HOUR!?! :P :o :D DUDE! That's awesome!

Looks like the nozzles are the cheap part. The air compressor & pressure washer are the budget killers :o Cool though. Very cool 8)

Great poetry Scott!

hehe, don't encourage Adam... next time he makes snow make him record the sounds to go along with the images - homemade snow certainly isn't a quiet process! :)
