I don't know how much of a hastle it is to add new forums but I think it would be cool to have a review forum. Any thoughts?

A section that would have a list of boats were people could post reviews under. Just another thought.

My thoughts...

Post by Sir Adam »

Greetings....

If you want to review a boat, post a review of it in the Forum, and others can post it below. Some sites have zillions of forums, and anyone who's interested in everything has to check each one.

I've started work on a database that will list all non-c1s, and info about them...if I can work it in I'll try and add a user review section in to that. I wouldn't look for it for a while though...the Hudson's finally open :D

idea

Easy for me to suggest since I don't know how to do it. Here's my idea for reviews. Create a space on the "___boats" page next to each boat listed where folks could post their review. That way you see the specs & photos that are already up. When I'm interested in a particular boat I'm going directly to the ___boats page to see it. Some already have a mini review.

Search function and reviews

Post by jdschall »

I've found that using the search function on this forum is a great way to find reviews of different boats and outfitting tips. Especially now that all the posts have been transfered.

I find that there is usually a ton of information on the web through boat comparison websites and posting boards like boatwerks about all of the various kayak models available. I`m not sure what it would add to have that kind of info available on this website. Reviews of how kayak conversions work as C1s would be invaluable though, would be great to add something exclusively on this. I`m fortunate enough to live in Ottawa and paddle a fair number of kayak conversions during the year, would be most into sharing my thoughts on new boats coming out, for whatever it is worth.

Gotta try the new liquid logic boats and the riot air 55. I`ll post my thoughts on the main forum once I get a chance to try them out, should be within a few weeks.
