thinking of taking up C1 freestyle

Post by Guest »

im curently a freestyle kayaker, but have open canoe experience on up to class IV water... im a cross over. im looking for a relativly cheap boat that is already outfited for a guy about 6 feet tall with size 12 or 13 feet and around 145 (preferably lighter, just to help the learning curve). im pretty much new to freestyle C1, and havent OC1'ed for about a year now...so im a little rusty. My biology teacher has an H2 245 or 255 the bernie outfitted, i really liked the look of the job in there...looks bomber...id also be willing to just get a hull and outfit the boat myself (so if you know of anyone who has just a hull TELL ME!!!!). im in no rush at the moment to get a boat...im still working on funds right now, but id like to entertain ideas ad recomendations for a first c1 playboat.

also if you can email me a sort of lesson plan as to how to preform certain moves that would really be helpful.

Thanks,
Mike

C1 freestyle

I have a Mr Clean outfit as a c1. I'm about your size maybe a little heavier and it is a great boat for me. Easy to roll. Does all sorts of vertical moves with ease, cartwheels, bowstalls, etc. I don't think it was ever a very popular k1. It made a much better c1. I'm selling it for $250 if you are interested.

I have a riot disco in decent shape, all ready to go with a Dagger pedestal in it. I cracked it once and welded it up and have had no problems with it at all. Its a great intro playboat, very very forgiving, but can cartwheel, loop, etc without too much work, especially with your height. I'm looking for $300 out of it and can send pics. e-mail me if interested. If you're interested and in the southeast I can meet with you for a demo. I also have a midieval that I'd let go for $200, but I think its a little big for your size, although the hull is in great shape.
