A very balanced boat, fast forwards and backwards, loose, and loves to bounce!
Fluid has also moved to Canada from South Africa this year and have settled in Ontario but certainly haven't forgotten their roots.
Started this one from scratch this week. When i took the seat out of it i needed to find something to keep the hull stiff. All of the other boat i have converted always had a rail system but in these boats the entire seat provides the stiffness. So i took a hockey stick composite shaft (one of the stiffer shafts) and cut it to fit inside the boat before the rocker starts to kick and attached it to the stock bow and stern bulkheads. It works great!
Still using my Northwater Lap Belt, but i am looking for another system..any suggestions? I have been thinking about a airplane seatbelt but they hard to come by.
I had it out for a few hours at my local wave yesterday for the first time, and i was impressed! I am Coming from a LL Vision 56.
It doesn't carve as hard as the vision (the V56 has those "rails")
but the little extra width and a tad softer rail allows it to be a lot more comfortable on a wave, it really gives more time to set up and release the boat easier, rather then being racy all the time. It will also help with not getting spanked as much when running downstream too!
Can't wait to get out into it again......
