I tried the smooth move on one run, and ended up spinning out. fortunately, I was deep enough to drive out making it more merano-ish... but the hard part about that 10 jump wasthe trusting your right edge while throwing your body up and then down and trying to get back on the power... all told, america has another great training facility, with a more open attitude to canoe slalom. however, i think that the pushy water at charlotte is hard to beat. Erik Amason is proof that a year of training there is worth a whole bucket load of anything else. when he is on, he's hard to beat. too bad asci is seasonal...

alden was 17 the down above the up left? if so I think I recall the boil, i hit it my first run, and had to head duck the side of the left pole, but my second run I was able to get up and over enough to be driving down, and left through above the gate... that helped me a ton.
cheers

Issac-

Correct on 17, right dive on the boil out of the left dive against the rock.

Check out my recent post. It's all there.
