The return of the Riversport Slalom

Just wanted to let some of you folks know that we have revived the Riversport Slalom after a 6 year lapse.
It takes place on Sept. 1-2 at Ramcat Rapid on the Middle Youghiogheny in Confluence, PA.

This is wonderful, but, oh, *why* on Labor Day weekend?

We'd love to participate, but that's a tough already obligated weekend only 2 weeks away.
Wish we'd known about it sooner....

Why Labor Day weekend? Well it actually fit in the schedule for the race organizers and other logistical reasons. Sorry it doesn't work for you but maybe you can make it next year.

Natalie, Jim, et al. thanks for a excellent time at the Riversport Slalom Race this weekend. The family had a great time with a fun course and perfect weather.

Not the best but we were busy trying to stay upright.

Oh there are pictures of Jim's boat for sale in there too.

It was great to meet and talk to folks.. and paddle with them as well.

Thanks to the sponsors, judges and the safety boaters - all of whom took time way from their Holiday weekend to make it all happen!

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone. I had an awsome time. I t was great to meet some folks, paddle and have fun! I learned alot and I look foward to paddling with people the next time. Thanks everyone!!!

I was very pleased with the turnout, thanks to all who were there! Hopefully everyone had an enjoyable time. Perhaps we'll do this again next year.
