I loved the C1 creeking article. Since I started paddling in a K1, I must say that I find everything you wrote to be true, at least to me. I was a pretty competent K1 paddler before I changed over to C1 and I'm now up to about the same level, but it took me a long time to get here. As K1 paddler I was rarely had to worry about which line to pick. Now, every time I'm on the water I'm thinking about the lines I take, most of the time taking lines that are more difficult just to build up my skills, and I feel that has really paid off. Quite often now, I'm the paddler in the group leading the newbies down because I can read the water better and FARTHER than most of my K1 buddies.
The one line that I most appreciate is:
"There is no shame in carrying the boat along a difficult spot and anybody that laughs at you is an idiot not worth paddling with. Good paddler rides safely and has fun… Good paddler doesn´t cross his limits on terrific runs just to be like the others…"
I can't remember walking around runs before I changed to C1, and now I've walked quite a few. There are multiple reasons for this, but I have never felt any shame in doing so, and no one has ever given me a hard time about it. I think if they did, that person would get one h*** of an earful from me...
Now, I have to find a place to work on that mysterious cross bow boof...

By the way- I only translated the article- it was written by my friend Peter Kment....
The crossdeck boof is not that mysterious... you simply do the last stroke before the jump on your offside. The only thing that makes it different and more difficult is that you have to learn to kick the boat forward and not lose your balance while planting a stroke on your offside.
