I was looking at the new Yin from Galasport. After about the 12th visit I noticed something inside the cockpit, innovative outfitting! Anyone know anything more about it?

Check inside the cockpit. If this is a plate that can be padded out and adapted to other boats, I'd be interrested for sure. I suspect though that it is a custom mold for Tony Estanguet.

I think the French have been making these for a while. I used to have photos of one set up like this, which was basically a self contained, individually molded saddle, hip blocks, and knee tunnels extending from knee to ankel to foot. Unfortunately, I can't find the photos. As I recall, if you weren't the guy it ewas made for, it was frightening, and very difficult to get out of. If it was molded for you, it was great. Gala may be doing something like this in generic form. The French distributor shows the same set up in the iMo. As a bonus, you get to see the T6 paddle!...edg

That's a really swett-looking slalom boat. Almost closed the link after looking at its weight range (up to 75 kg.?!)--useless boat for us "full-figured" lads. Looked at the saddle setup in the cockpit and I see what you are talking about. It's evident the saddle system is for Tony; you can see the integrated leg cradles and knee cups. Not something that would come standard, though it would be SWEET to have that setup in any of my boats. Looks real comfy.

Actually, you will probably see my drool marks on the iMo.

Thats the ticket for us full figured guys. Looks like all the right improvements where made off the Loco. Which I really like. As an aside Robin Bell was thinking of calling it Pacha or something like that, that means "wife beater" in French. He thought better of it. I do not think Pasha is to far off for a C1....

Nice... Now the iMo joins a long list of boats I'd like to have but won't in the near future...
