Oh man! That was GREAT, Scott! Thanks for the link. The footage certainly answers several questions, such as:
  • does a rock actually SEE a camoflaged canoe coming at it?
How many Grummans and Colemans are owned by "country boys"?
How many ways can one line be screwed up?
How many times can different people make the SAME mistake, even after watching it happen several times?
Can you make a class 1+ to class 2 chute into a class 4+ run?
Is it better to run it sitting high on the seat?
    and finally...
...Are you able to stern squirt a 16 foot canoe? (you can find out starting at 5 minutes, 25 seconds)

 Can't beleive I actually watch 6 minutes of it  Tks for posting anyways, put a smile on my face

That's the hard part of our sport when we try to sell it to newbies....that's the kind of experience they got and vizualise when we speak of running rapids...and why the go to kayaking most of the time.

Tie that cooler, grab those gunnels and start your praying

Thanks! That's the highest concentration of clueless idjits that I've seen in a long time. Loved the classic gunwale grab, as well as the difficult-to-master simultaneous paddle switch (always executed on the same side).
