Palmerfest- Group Camping rollcall

Post by msims »

Hey everybody, Started a new thread to get a good idea on interest in group camping. We need ~10 tents or so. Hopefully we're not too late to get a group site.

*Camping will be at Jessups - located at Palmer Rapids. The palmerfest activities are slightly downstream and on river left. Jessups is quieter, and more fun if you just want to try boats and play all day... and if I recall, there are shuttle buses back and forth between palmerfest and jessups campground.*

IMO Jessups is the place to be.

So who's into the group campsite thing? - more sun, closer to the water, a group campfire that we can sit around and sing C-umbaya together.

Martin if you bring your yakker entourage we should be close to 10 tents ;-)

So who's coming, and how many tents can you account for? Can we get enough to reserve group camping?

So far:
Mike - 1 tent
Blast - 2 tents?
Sir adam - 1 tent?
Martin - ?

Thanks, Mike

I plan on camping at Jessup's (not that I've ever been there) so a group site is fine by me...BUT I'll be car camping, so to speak (roof top tent...Sara and I picked one up last summer for a big trip coming up where we'll be camping out for about a month). So, as long as i can park there too, we're fine....

I will actually already be there on Wednesday night, as I am taking the WRT course at MKC from Monday to Wednesday and then take Thursday and Friday off to go paddle. As far as my yakker entourage is concerned, there should be about 3-4 tents, but I don't know about everyone's exact plans ... Organizing trips with them is like trying to herd cats... ...

Cool!! So you can make sure we get the group campsite by the rapids ;-))

Car camping's fine, Adam, it's pretty informal, other than the daily visit by the property owner to come and pay up!

Anyone else? If not we just gravitate towards Martin's fleet and camp near him... don't matter all that much.
