Superglide for sale in Morgantown, WV, skirt included. $75. Boat is still fairly dry. I chopped off the last 1.5 ft of stern length so it wouldn't break off at the wrong time. A little bit of glass work on the stern seam would restore this thing to it's former glory. This boat has seen some serious competition in the past according to some of the stickers on the stern, looks like it was raced many times in Europe (by the previous owner). For me, it's been a downriver racing machine, with some good performances in the Upper Yough and Gauley Races. $75 is a steal for this boat, but if you think it's too much, make me an offer.

Coming to the "armada"? I'm a sucker for a cheap, interesting boat...

I'll be out of town for a race during the armada weekend, but I could leave the boat out back behind the house if you want to stop by and take a look. We're only a 45 minute drive from PS composites or the Cheat Narrows (the squirt meeting place.) Or if you really think you want it, I could try to arrange a ride for it over to the armada site with someone driving through Morgantown. Let me know what you think. The boat is okay as is, but could be much better with just a little bit of work. The hull is in good shape, the deck is solid, just the stern seam needs some repair, and you may want to lay a little glass over the part that I chopped. If I were planning on spending more time in the boat I would also pull out all of the outfitting and re-do it, and lay in some new strap anchor points.

Jay, see if you can get it to the Armada (or cquirt on Friday). If Scott doesn't want it, I'll snatch it up. The deal is just too good for a boat junkie--ummm, I mean collector to pass up on.

Yep, like he said. I'll see how much money I have left after driving to the Armada on $4 gas...

Jay any chance on that boat getting dropped off at Ohiopyle by someone over one of the upcoming weekends? If so I can most likely pick it up and ferry it to the Armada to do a hand off to Scott or KNeal.
We'll also be stopping at PS Composites and the Narrows that weekend so if you konw someone in Albright / Kingwood that might work too.
Let us know. Paul C.
PS: I might be heading to Albright to assist Mr. Snyder in his project. If that works out I'll let you know and maybe we can work out something from that.

By the way... when I said the hull was in good shape, I meant to say that the hull is in good shape for a $75 boat. In other words, the boat has a hull that you cannot see through...yet.
I'll throw in 2 skirts that I don't need. One is a large tunnel, the other medium, that fit the superglide. Both skirts are almost brand new and have been used less than 5 times each. Give the extra one to whoever looks like they deserve it most.
I also have a beautiful red white and blue cascade hull with no cracks (no outfitting), that I'd be willing to part with for $150, skirt included. Do you think someone at the armada would want this?
I'm trying to downsize my fleet to make room (so i can start upsizing my fleet again!)

Isaac,
all the creeks are running this weekend, and unfortunately i'm working the afternoon shift in morgantown. I'll be able to get out for a quick blitz down the big sandy early morning, that's about all i've got time for.
Good to hear that you're back in the boat. How long are you in the area? you should check out some of the local rivers and creeks while your in town (cheat, big sandy, upper yough are all relatively friendly for the glass boats and should be at really juicy good flow for the next few days).
I've hung up the slalom boat for a few weeks here and doing all wildwater and downriver training until the June races, then I'll be back into the gates again.
Paul,
I think there's some folks from around here that are heading over to the NBP on the armada weekend. I'll see what I can arrange. Send me an email if you get a chance so I have your email address. Mine is jackditty (at) mac.com
