Skid plates on the Zephyr

Post by bradpr »

Any opinions on applying skids to a Zephyr?

What kind & how to adhere them to the boat?

All adhesives work equally well on the Zephyr. I haven't considered skid plates, but if I did I'd choose between duct tape and bandaids.

I'm thinking about skidplates on the Zephyr like I do on other boats - I'll wait to add that weight after I have done enough damage to warrant them. I guess I'm not paddling steep and shallow enough stuff (certainly shallow enough...) to have needed them on the last couple of boats.

Maybe that new flexy West Systems epoxy will do the trick if/when the time comes.
