Snake

Post by fleckbass »

A buddy of mine once told me a story about a guy in a kayak getting worked in a hole below a waterfall. While this was going on a guy at the top of the fall ran into a rattler. He was suprised by the snake and ended up flicking it with his paddle. No where else but right onto the deck of the guy getting worked. Double trouble!
I went raftin' once. I think it was in Ohio.

Hahaha. Since the snake was only about 1/2" in diameter, I can see how you were confused. :P

At least we are not talking about politics. And no, I'm not above abusing my moderator powers to delete any and all political posts!

Back in the Grumman days, some Georgia paddlers would keep a big, wet towel within reach in the bottom of the boat. If a snake dropped in from the rhodedendron bushes, they would throw the wet towel over it, pick the whole mass up, throw in the water, and then retrieve the towel when the snake swam away.

we use to keep a gun with us we'd just shoot the snake but it was hard to keep the ammo dry and we had to do a lot of boat repair.

Wet towel ya sure.

No, it's the beer does that. I was going to say something about the "Woody" but decided not to go there.
