Well, I gave the Miniweld Model 5 Airless 5500HT a tough assignment and welded a 15 inch crack in a polyethelene boat in a high stress area(above thigh brace) running laterally along the cockpit rim. The weld is hardly noticeable. My wife paddled the boat(she is K-1) hard two days over the Labor Day Weekend and it held perfectly. It gets a big two thumbs up!
