I just got my third! Out of a factory Animas conversion no less. Might put it back into the Cascade hull in my garage. Almost wish I would have kept the Atom. Probably would have if it didn't weight 80 lbs.

Can someone explain why these saddles are so Mythic?
Every factory C1 I've been in has been less comfortable than the Heath Robinson* saddles made of foam, wood and duck tape.
*think Rube Goldberg.

You guys must be better with foam then I am. But with the Dagger seat, I'm getting close to the point where I can set up a kayak in under an hour once the butt seat is removed. Trying to figure out how to secure the back of the saddle without drilling holes. Makes it easier to try boats and to travel wihtout a boat. (I hope.)
I've been using the front bulkhead bolts on Pyranhaa to attatch the fronnt of the seat and a piece of metal that my knee straps go to as well. I have ratcheting knee straps for adjustability, but they do not need to be release to we exit. Standard ladder lock, but looking to move to seatbelts for piece of mind and safety.

I used a pedestal from a Cascade I had already. It had been comfortable and held me securely for years in the Cascade.
I didn't have to modify the hull to use it, but had to extend the pedestal in the rear with rain gutter to reach the stern foam pillar.
I was also able to use Dagger's hip grabber, too. It followed the cockpit rim almost perfectly and uses only the existing seat bolts.

Actually I used the excuss of foaming out boats as one of the rationales for getting a band saw and pad sander! I also told the wife that they would be helpful with some of the outstanding house projects too!You guys must be better with foam then I am.
Besides I always had to modify dagger pedestals to take into account the shape of my posterior , tweaking it with foam for better comfort / control.
The pedestals work fine and they are not too heavy - but mini cell just seems lighter & I like to customize ! My $.01!
PS: This reminds me I have some outstanding house projects! Darn!!!!
