Booster as C-1??? Comments please

Post by fraz »

hello

how does a booster perform as a C-1??
I've just got my new spud boad (T-2) and now I need something a little longer to run bigger more technical water with (and I want something that is still fun to play around in).

Any experience with the booster 55 or any other size would be great.

Thanks

The booster would seem to fit the bill, but beware of Riot's narrow cockpits.

I paddled a booster 50 and I`m 175lbs. Fun boat, quite slicy for throwing ends. The 50 would not likely be that much better of a river runner than a transformer, longer but with lower volume ends. Try the booster 55 first as a demo if you can, the seats come out fairly quickly if you lightly bend the metal supports and then yank really hard on it!

Me, I`ve got a spud boat and a creekboat, just thinking your two boats might be fairly similar in river running performance. Booster was no doubt quite fun
