Bliss-Stick Blitz

Post by Kirill »

Hi,
Has anybody ever tried this boat or heard anything about it?
I've found some reviews of Blitz Special, but failled to find anything on it's bigger cousine. Is it good as C1?
Many thanks in advance for your replies.

Hi Kirill

I used to paddle the Blitz as a kayak back when I still kayaked. It's a good beginner-intermediate boat as a kayak. I converted a Blitz Special to a C1 (which has the same hull as the Blitz, but lower volume) and it worked really well. The Blitz would be a slightly better river runner and more forgiving. I only weigh 150lbs, so for me it was a bit too big - the Special is better for me as it is lower volume. Either boat will make a good C1 though.

Hmmm....new country, new rivers...-
Still not enough c-boaters....

Hey Matt,

Thanks for your reply. I am 180lbs, so it should work for me.
May be I'll buy it after all.
How is it on flatwater? It does not look like a cartwheel-machine.
Do you, by any chance, have some pictures of your boat converted to c1?

Cheers, :)

it wheels great

I could wheel my friend's blitz way better than my Mr. Clean, which is suppossed to be a wheel machine. Maybe it's just me. Awesome boat though. I did some burly stuff in it as a kayak.

Alex,
Since my latest boat was Mr.Clean, it tells me A LOT.
THANKS a lot! It really helped.

A couple of questions more: what's your weight? Are you sure you tried
Blitz, not Blitz Special?

hi Kirill

On flatwater the Blitz was too big for me to throw around, but I haven't really worked on learning flatwater moves too much so I'm not a really good person to speak to this. It's an awesome river runner though and is sweet on a wave - good hull, nice and loose, but still fast for running things. I ran mine down class IV comfortably as a kayak. First boat I got consistent flat spins in.

I'll send you a private message with a link to outfitting pictures.
