Why don't you save your dollars and get the composite version from Hemlock? Much lighter, somewhat stiffer, closer to the original design.

Funny you mention that. I have a Hemlock Shaman, and want to compliment it with a Shaman I can paddle when the creeks are low.

Harold was kind enough to email me photos of his composite Shaman. The purpose and pedigree of the boat made it very tempting, but I eventually decided that it was not the right boat for my weight.
