Installing bags in a C-1?

Post by HarryA »

I removed the float bags from my PERCEPTION Gyra Max C-1
to repair a hole (stupid mouse :( ) now I am wondering
how to reinstall them. I tied a nut on a string and tried to
get it to pass around the pillar but no go. Next I tied a short
length of small chain on the string but that couldn't find
the hole/gap at the end of the pillar either

I got them out because the cord passed up and under the
pillar do I work it back down that way with a stick?

There is no nobler use for
money then to buy a canoe.

Aren't there grommets in the front of your bags, too? Just pass a string under the foam wall and tie it to each bag by the front grommets. If no front grommet then: mice 1; Gyramax owner 0

It is is a gyrodog it don't have a drain plug. If you put one in you could feed the string through the hole tie it on the bad and pull the bag in. You can bo both end and be twice as cool as the butt boater who only have one. If you do put in drain plugs please don't use them however it really slow down the whole trip.

On my old Phoenix C-1, I used the grommets on the wide end to lace lines through a hole I cut in the foam wall. This worked well enough, and allowed the bags to be removed for repairs, etc.
