WTB 56" or 58" paddle

Any Boat, Gear, or outdoor related item you have for sale. If you use it on a paddling trip, or to prepare for one, it's fair game.

WTB 56" or 58" paddle

Post by ipadl »

Hey guys,

This is my first post on the forum, although I've been lurking a bit lately. I'm a long time K1 paddler, and I've decided to setup a boat and try C1. My wfe is a beginner K1 paddler, so I'm thinking that this would be a good time for the two of us to enjoy paddling the same rivers.

Looking for a used (or new) 56" or 58" C1 paddle or potentially a 60" if I could cut it down later. I really have no idea what size I'll end up wanting and none of the sites that I have visited had much to offer other than ballpark numbers. Therefore, I'd love to find something well loved (used) that needs a good home and still has life left in it. Less expensive the better. Thanks in advance!

Paddle

Seth,
I play around with making my own wooden paddles. I have a few older ones laying about. I'll have to see what I may have in decent shape still :D ...spooned or straight?

Spooned or Straight

Mike,

That would be awesome! I'm looking for a straight blade if you've got one, but I'm not too picky at this point. I have more enthusiasm than skill or experience at this point to be very picky. ;-)

Thanks a ton!

Seth, Here's a straight blade about 57" or 58".
It's been used on and off for a couple years, is fairly light weight, but pretty strong. Carbon fiber/fiberglass edging around sides and tip
How's $45 + shipping sound (unless there's someone out this way that can get it to you)?
Photos here of both sides. I'll even sand it out and re-varnish it for you :D

Mike,

Wow. Thanks a ton! The paddle looks beautiful, and I'll put it to good use. I'm extremely excited about getting this boat ready and out on the water, and this just gets me one step closer. Thanks a ton.

Would you like to pm me for the best way to arrange payment and shipping? I'm trying to pick up a set of straps at the same time through Mohawk, but so far haven't heard anything from them. Hoping to get that figured out soon too. I'll probably carve my saddle tonight when I get home.

Thanks again!

Seth
