Thanks to DRRPM and ezwater of Boatertalk for referring me here.
I haven't been comfortable with the factory outfitting in my Zephyr. I'd like to keep the factory saddle, but remove everything else: Footpegs, strings and straps to make room for foam foot braces and knee supports.
I've been advised not to remove the D-rings, but there are way too many of them and they're in the way should I add the foam padding.
Before I do all this I want to make sure I can make the foam stick to the boat, as its made of twin tex material. Any ideas on adhesives or how to do this? If I can't make this work, my only other option in to sell the boat. It hurts too bad to enjoy paddling it.
Thanks.

The standard Weldwood in the red can contact cement from Lowe's works just fine for applying foam. Of course it isn't suitable for D-rings. I think there is a 3-M 2-part stickum that requires a special applicator that works for securing D-rings. Not sure what else works.
