Necky blunt/H3 255?
has anyone paddled either the Blunt or the H3 255 these as a C-1? are they stable?

Blunt
I paddled my Blunt today for the first time (on the lower Gordon River, Vanc Island which is a good 3-3+ run at that waterlevel). It took some adjustment for me since I am not used to C1 creekboats. I tipped over since I ecpected the boat would carve but it did not (I know, it was kind of clear that it wouldnt but I was just so used to boats that do carve, so I had to find out the hard way).
After the first two drops, I got out the knife and lowered the seat since I felt pretty unstable. The boat does not have much primary stability. But with the lower seat it felt A LOT better. Secondary stability is pretty good.
All in all, I quite like the boat. It is pretty fast (compared to a quake) and punches holes nicely. It does boof on command. Sometimes it feels (I'm 170 lbs) like it is loosing its line sideways.
Necky cockpits suck. They are so narrow. I might change the cocpit a bit so my thighs fit in more easy.

Actually, my friend lives in West Virginia. But...when I bought my witch from a guy in Warren, VT last year he gave me the name of a necky rep that lives in maine. I forgot his name, but he paddles C-1 and has a blunt. If you asked on the necky forum on BT I'm sure you could find it. I'll try to think of it as well. Necky's are actually pretty popular down here, as are prijon and Bliss Stick. I'm going to try to find an H2 to use though to creek in if I can. Wish they had Huck's down here. Anyways, good luck finding that guy. If i find anything out I'll keep you posted.
