Post ALF - roadtrip out west
After ALF I will be heading down to Alabama for the Locust Fork slalom race.
After that I will be heading out west for a two to three week roadtrip out to Arizona, Utah, and Montana for photography.
I am looking for a place to crash on the night of the 22nd or 23rd March near Oklahoma City,OK or Amarillo, TX
I hope to make it to Memphis after paddling on the 21st and then start booking it out west after that.
Can anybody out that way can put a single sticker up for a night?
Looks like I will also be doing a boat shuttle from AL to UT for Jeff in Salt Lake City area.

It's all in perspective to where I will be coming from.Larry Horne wrote:if you haven't been.. the southwest deserts/canyonlands will knock your socks off! that stuff is unreal.
but from my perspective, thats 18 hours east of "out west"..
If you really want to come out west (california coast) you could stay here. there might even be some boating to be had.
I would love to come to Cali but I don't think I have that much time.
Where abouts are you?

I know what you mean about not enough time. I could easily spend two weeks just in the Moab area.
I'm right here.....

Thanks for the offer and will keep that in mind.Roger wrote:Iffen you can make a couple of more hours past Memphis if need be and don't mind going off the "track" for a bit, we'uns have a place near Heber Springs, AR.
All depends on your timing, but it's here since we'll be on spring break at that time and we'll be around at that time.
Right now it looks like I will be leaving Talladega at crack of dawn on Monday 22nd March and making the 12ish hour drive to Oklahoma City in one shot.
Then heading out to Arizona the tuesday.
see you're right there were the big earth quake was a couple weeks ago (off shore)... how'd that feel?Larry Horne wrote:I know what you mean about not enough time. I could easily spend two weeks just in the Moab area.
