If I could keep the Nitro off the creeks I shouldnt need a new one, I cant get my fat butt in anyones Taraeau the free one might be my only way to succesfully demo one. But if they made a PE Detonator put me on the list for that!!

i've got a detonator and love its performance, but the wear factor is a deal breaker. just too much $$ for such a short lifespan. i'd buy a PE detonator in a heartbeat, though.
Joe ... considering you would slide down a rock face if someone pee'd on it might have something to do with your wear and tear.

Nitro and Deatenator are all well and good and great beginner boat but why have somethin that big unless all you paddle is the Grand Canyon. I would love a Prelude if it came in a shorter model.

PRELUDE :) After the L'Edge comes out that answer may change depending on final production model.

You might as well call yourself a butt boater in that plastic thing you paddle

I picked the Raven. I have to agree with Jim Michaud, not a big fan of double chined or super edgy. However, the Raven looks to be pretty wide. Haven't paddled it or any others very much, would like to try all/any.
I went raftin' once. I think it was in Ohio.

Nitro,
to replace the one I sold (stupid move). I'm 6'3" and 225, it didn't seem so big to me. It was my first ww boat.

I just wonder if people really realize how many free boats Jacques (Esquif) has literally given away over the years?

From fortunate individuals like myself, to OCSlalom Nat's to special events like ALF and several others that might not catch a ww-paddlers attention.

My relationship with Esquif aside... I think it's incredible and pretty dam''n cool.

Their commitment to canoeing in general is why I'm proud to be associated with them.

That being said... did I win?
