right handed, paddle on the right... almost always... not sure why but my left side roll especially my left side back deck roll is super ugly and inconsistent so i gave it up for right side dominance.

I am a lefty who paddles right. Started left but it didn't feel as smooth.

I thought I was just confused--but it sounds like many paddlers do the same.

As far as my roll, so far I only have the 1st 180 degrees down.

Like several who have posted:

I am right-handed, and
paddling left is my stronger side, but
I roll best on my right.

Right handed, paddle left. I paddle stronger that way, it's the only way I know how to roll, and it just feels natural.

Right handed, I paddle left, after reading this will try the roll on my right - might work better than left even if it does for others, just never thought of it.

Right handed, paddle left. Just felt natural that way when I first learned.

I paddle on the right about like I throw a baseball with my left hand, and that ain't good!

Right handed, paddle left, roll right when I can. I started paddling left in tandem boats so that my right handed partners could paddle on their stronger side. Eventually it stuck, though I can paddle right side if need be.

Right + right. Which is also why my kids, all righties, paddle left... Come to think of it I paddle righty because my father-in-law paddles left+left. So, paddling lefty skips a generation.

I am right handed and paddle left. I couldn't tell you why other than it just feels natural to me. Maybe something to do with the control hand being the one that makes the best connection with my brain.
