So, what is it, a Synergy? I paddle our MR Synergy solo much of the time, and surprise some onlookers with what I can do with it. As a tandem, the Synergy is rather wet, though a fast cruiser for a highly rockered boat.

Or maybe you have an Explorer 15, but you have to tell us!

ME maybe?

At 15' it could also be an ME - that's a decent beginner tandem boat. We have a couple of them for teaching beginners with (as solo's :-? and tandems :) )

it is actually an me to the best of my knowledge. i bought it at gaf this fall, worked on it's outfitting over Chriustmas break, and paddled it this past weekend. i just don't think the tandem thing is going to work for us.

Well, they're called divorce boats for a reason. My wife and I paddled in a tandem a fair bit as she was learning, and although now we mainly paddle solos we did buy and outfit (well I outfitted) a tandem this past year. Have barely had the chance to use it unfortunately. It's definitely a different experience paddling the tandem, and fun in a different way, but it's good to have the solos to take a break from each other too :)
