converting

Hi, first time here, great site! Just got myself a Necky Zip which I would like to convert to a C-1. Am i crazy? Most of the conversions I've seen are longer boats. Is this going to be an expensive job? Does anyone sell used pedalestal seats???
thanx.......jim

please see "general outfitting questions" below your post by Mr RiverRougue. He went through the same thing.

You can get a dagger pedistal from Kayakoutfitting.com

Zip

Post by Mike W. »

Like Chuck said, check the outfitting section. I think the Zip will make a great C-1. The only forseeable problem would be the narrow Necky cockpit rim. If you're legs are skinny that won't be a problem. If they're fat like mine it may be tight, but then there's always heat....

Keep us posted on the conversion. Then come to an armada so we can check it out. I'd really like to try a Zip.

I highly recommend the Dagger pedestal from www.kayakoutfitting.com.
