FoxWorx Paddle

Post by xmas0c1c1k1 »

So I decided to go with a different blade after paddling with bandits for a couple years. I ended up ordering a foxworx cause the blade design loooked good to me and the price is great 140 bucks. I tend to beat on my sticks so buying multiple cheap sticks is the best approach for me. I have tried many different paddles and all seem to have their ups and downs so I will give my first impressions on the FoxWorx.
I got the WW3 blade which is their curved blade and I like it alot its got good catch but isn't to grabby so you can still get good stroke rate it is short and fat at the bottom so I think it will do well on shallow stuff. This paddle is beefy very thick shaft and definately not lightweight I'd say its a little bit heavier than the bandit. It is nice looking with carbon blade and carbon wrapped about 1/2 the way up the wooden shaft. Really I can't complain for 140 bucks but the downfalls I see right now are the large shaft diameter and the t grip just doesn't do it for me the dowel t grip is the only grip I find comfortable with. I did email dale and he said that on my next paddle he could make the shaft skinnier and add a dowel grip this is part of the reason I went with foxworx cause they will listen to my input and hopefully I can get a paddle i love after working out some kinks.
all in all worth the money good back up paddle for sure good regular paddle unless you are hooked on the super light performance paddles this is no match to galasport type paddles but for riverunners and creekers who like to slam their paddles I would recommend I will update to tell how it holds up to abuse.

Ive got one of theirolder model symetrical (non spoon) blades.

Great for the price, the shafts are a little stiff so watch yer shoulder, I let mine to a friend but I think I need to just shorten it a little and use it for my C1

the edges wore apretty quick I reccommend putting dynel around the edge.
