I would be more tempted by the decked version, but interested in trying both to see what the difference would be. Is there a possibility of a demo boat traveling around the southeast this fall?

Thanks,

OPEN!

no...DECKED!!!

no...OPEN!!!

Seriously, tough call, but I think I'd go OPEN.

BUT! I'd be interested to hear whether the open one rolled up as dry as the decked one. A previous review of the prototype said they came up with only an inch or 2 of water. Now that's a cheap bilge pump.

That's good they are getting some in. They told me a month or 2 ago there were no more Esquif shipments to the SE this year.

lets see only the middle of July and no more shipment to the southeast for the rest of the year??????????? You think they are already snowed in or those crazy French Canadians just have a really strange business model?

I prefer the look of the open one, but I'm not in the market for a new boat. I'm hoping that lots of people buy them, though. Especially Spanish Fly paddlers. My daughter wants a Fly.

price?
I heard the same as the Spanish Fly and Prelude. Add some extra $$ for the wood trim.

According to the Esquif pricelist for 2010, the L'edge is $1653 outfitted. It does not have any price difference for open or decked. Does not mean there isn't one though.
I'd be happy to take orders. There's no sales tax in NH by the way.

...but is shipping to Georgia cheaper than the sales tax ($116)?
