Re: Mike Gardner:
Well Guys, I'm happy I've been out paddling for over a week, in Switzerland, Europe. Having good fun on the river, with some good paddlers, and only on class I - III.
And I'm really happy I missed the most of this topic, since this kind of nonsense is what drives people away from a real goat board like cboats.
I just hope I manage to filter out some posts and replies to it, so no complete topics are wasted.
We should all spend more time on the river and less on the internet. The river will correct our ego's if they are getting too big. Just hope it's not involving any risks for our co-paddlers.

Now this is the kind of serious stuff we need to talk about.I was an innocent bystander on the river bank and heard a lot of screaming and panic. Ran up stream to investigate and a butt boater had flipped and couldnt roll and was stuck in his boat. He had come up for his third and last time. No one offered to help the guy. I was wearing...1980... hot pants..ie pe shorts or gym shorts and dove into the river. My shorts we down to my ankles, hard to swim but needless to say, got the guy out of the boat and safe to shore.
I dont know if his friends were more glad to see him rescued or for me to get my pants back on. It was a serious moment but also very humerous and still is to this day.
Lets lighten up and live.
