Post by wavewalk »

You can do the same in the sitting, riding and kneeling positions but it's more fun to stand :D

Tommy,
Chances are it was me going to or coming back from the beach.
I had hoped to catch some waves but the sea was almost flat so all I did was "regular" paddling and paddleskiing :)
At least I stayed dry:D

There's nothing exotic about the site: Newton Lower Falls.
We thought it would be safer to start with a site that's both easy and close to home, and it was indeed very easy.
The pictures were taken some 10 days ago.
Interested in trying?

Dunno about trying. Got too many boats as it is.
Definately be interested in seeing it paddled by someone who's familiar with it.
If the Assabet out in Maynard gets up around 3' you might consider taking it there. It's easy class II right through town. Just be ready to duck going under the bridges.

If you do, let me know and I'll try to join you.

Tommy,
What I'm actually interested in is to see how you and other good paddlers "play" with the boat and discover its potential in different environments and applications.
If you or other members of this respectable forum wish to participate in this kind of "Sports Discovery" process please let me know :)

Yoav

PS-- Thanks for the tip on those low bridges - I wouldn't want to damage public property :D
