Boat Outfitting

Post by Guest »

Folks,

Can anyone let me in on the best way to attach the foam outfitting to my boat. I have just finishd and am ready to glue it in. Not sure what type of glue to use. I assume I need to rough the surface and clean it after before glueing.

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Dave

weldwood contact cement. make sure you get the FLAMMABLE kind. it usually comes in a red can or something. the one in the green can, unflammable, does not work at all.

paint on thinly with the flammable kind and you're in business.

Deffinately contact cement. I just use the run of the mill stuff you get at hardware stores and my seat hasn't budged at all
