Canadian Approved Astral Green Jacket?

Post by lagow8 »

I may be guiding in Canada and I would need to have a Canadian Approved PFD. Currently, I have a Green Jacket does anyone know if it is CCG approved? I have searched all over the internet and couldn't find anything.

Thanks,
John

Just got an email from astral and the Green Jacket is not approved in Canada. They said that they are working on it, but if I am guiding in Canada I should buy from another company.

Astrals are sold in BC -- I guess it's possible to buy / sell products without approval from the Authorities.

But John is wise to pay attention to 'approval' as he will be using his jacket professionally.

It ain't about avoiding drowning -- it's about avoiding litigation. . .
