wayne, the reason why that roll would be so hard to hit, is because the current was blasting the bottom of your boat....so its basically like some gremlin was standing where your boat needed to roll up, and kept knocking you back down, not allowing your roll.

uber strong hipsnap can fix that.

I had my hand on a jug hold on a WALL

But I hear ya and I took the boil into account.....it all leads me down the path of better fitness and trying to figure out what I actually have to execute a "fainting goat" I wonder if I just don't have the goat beard to pull that off so well like Gumpy.

Good action shot showing what you're talking about. Here's a thought, were you holding the boat on its side (and head out of water) and trying to roll up from there? Remember that when you sink a side of the boat and hold it there it fills the boat half with water and now you are fighting the weight of the water. If you get in that situation again, just take the boat completely over to dump it then quickly hip snap it up keeping your face as low as possible, then at the last moment, swing the mass of your upper body over the front of the boat to balance it all out.

It's Ender Hole at McCoy Falls (Big Falls) near Blacksburg, VA. It's about 15 min from my front door, which is great. If it's too low for play, attainment is still good. It's low for the feature in the video, but still fun. There is an upper hole that comes in at high water that is like an artificial feature from a whitewater park.

They used to have a big rodeo at McCoy, but landowner issues shut it down. It would be great if it came back. Either way, if anyone is up Blacksburg way and the New River is 2.8-3.5 on the Radford gauge (on AW), give old McCoy and ender hole a visit. dgmonster and I will likely be there.
