PE canoe wanted

Post by greybear »

The past month I have managed to damage and repair and damage again 2 royalex canoes on creeks. So I realized after the last repair I needed a PE canoe. I know most PE boats have good homes but if anyone has one they want to let go let me know.

Greybear.........You should have never got rid of that old Quake, if you did! As you know it is a wet hull but darn stable. In a creek situation I know of nothing more important than staying in your boat and on top of the water. I have my Quake, Spanish Fly, and a new open L'edge and can not envision ever going back to RX unless I need to get a big "big-water" boat for my "big body". Try a L'edge, I can't believe you will not love it...........

The best thing one can do with a Quake imo is to re-outfit it with a foam bulkhead and foam out the sidewalls. You can build a real bulkhead with the existing Dagger console. I used to have a few pictures of Joe Langmans Aftershock that he did this with... if I can find them I'll post them up for you.

The Quake isn't a horrible boat for creeking and general abuse... it isn't the best imo... but it's beats Royalex.

I'm with Barry... don't get rid of it... just upgrade the outfitting so it works better for you... then save your $ for a L'edge.

Quake

I sold the Quake a couple years ago, big mess up on my part. Sold it for Detonator which couldn't take the abuse I put on boats.
