1) Where's your other blade?

I don't need my training paddle any more!

2) How's the weather/view up there?

Why don't you come up here and check it out yourself!

3) Does that hurt?

(If the yaker is in a short slicey playboat):
No worse than your toes!

4) %&$**%&#% C-boater!

(haven't a really good one yet...)

2) How's the weather/view up there?

<Spit on them> "It's raining"

4) %&$**%&#% C-boater!

<Threaten to tell the pubescent yakker's MOM of how he's rude, and he can't continue to go on like that once he's graduated (or dropped out) of highschool>

He's probably swearing at you because you steamrolled him off his favourite play-wave with your favourite 11 foot open boat. Run him down again, until he repeats "%&$**%&#% C-boater! "

1) Where's your other blade?

You only need one, what do you use that other one for?

2) How's the weather/view up there?

Great thanks, by the way don't go into that hole it looks nasty (the hole they can't see yet)

3) Does that hurt?

Not as bad as being seen in one of those boats.

4) %&$**%&#% C-boater!

Why don't you like us? is it cause we are twice the paddler you are and don't need a second blade to stay up right?

Keep on whacking 'em Scott :D !

msims, spit on 'em? OK, I hadn't thought of that :-? .

Monday I put one of 'em in a spare boat (Amp C-1). I taught him to roll. He ferried out well enough, but was whinning about his feet pretty quickly. I know I fished him out of the water at least 3 times before he got tired of swimming  . He kept saying how much harder it was to paddle C-1 than K-1. I just laughed. I don't know why he turned down the offer to try the Acrobat  . Heck, he didn't even want to try stern squirts in the Amp.

I have one reply for all of it...

"This is just a special thing for little old ladies...."

Or, if they have to ask, they wouldn't understand anyway.

some kayakers say that c-1ers take forever to get into their boats (because of thigh straps, ect). my usual comeback is, "You wait for me while getting in, I'll wait for you on the river when you get all tired trying to keep up . . . "
