I'm impressed because it appears to be bead rolled aluminum sheet on the bow/stern and the craftsmanship to create that cockpit rim for a skirt... incredible.
THAT my friends took some serious time and thought... and skill.
The only thing I'd not like (based off riding a Harley with lot's of chrome on it in the past) is that the sun's reflection coming off the aluminum would burn the underside of my chin and the bottom of my nose in a very short amount of time on a bright cloudless day... probably a good thing he didn't polish it.

Actually, whether or not OC1 or C1 is warmer in the winter is debatable to a Point. In big water without dry lines or with big drops where the open boat invariably fills up, yes, a C1 is warmer. In low volume technical rivers whith loos of boofs I found the OC to be warmer overall if you can run dry lines. The reason is that in the C1 every wave washes over the deck and the cold water hits your body, cooling you out, while an OC deflects the water to the side, keeping one dry.
Back to Bob's zoom, amazing work !
