Why the Louie bashin??

The video says it all. ALF is a great time, with great boating and great people. End of story.

If you haven't been to ALF in person, try and come, you will not be disappointed.

That is some nice ALF footage! From all I've talked to it is indeed a great time, with great hospitality.

The only thing I don't get is the thread title- I saw lots of folks having a great time (and swimming), but not much of Louie!
Keep the C!

Not bashing Louie at all, just a bit of fun. I have paddled with Louie before myself, so far I just never have been able to fit ALF in my schedule.
And I am sure that Louie would be the first to proudly admit that he can be a troublemaker... ...

Yeah, he can be... in his own special way.. but he can't respond to cause "trouble" here for people who poke at him, however harmless the pokes are, so I call SHANANIGANS!

ALF was the best paddling and 'community' paddling experience I've ever had. It was worth the 3520 miles I drove to get there and back. Meeting Louie in person, and learning his 'ways' gave me a much better perspective of what he's all about.

From "he who shall not be named"

I understand I am causin trouble in England at the" Song of the Paddle" site in England. Can you pop in there and see what it is I have done, particularly since I have been banned from there for a year or longer. Also they say it has spilled over to
C-boats and they are pilin on?????

With all their fancy filters them sites have why don't they have my name banned? That would be a great ideal, I could cause no trouble that way at all. It could fill in my name with something like "he who will remained unnamed" or a former now banned contributer, or distractor. hades they could just leave it blank anytime someone wrote in my name. hades they have always made special ain't Louie rules in the past what is one more. Ya Jeff you ain't goat a hair on your butt if you don't post this in those forums. You might want to hurry before they do ban even the mention of my name.
For me; boating brings me closer to to something divine, and in a open canoe I'm 8 Inches closer.

Myself I like troublemakers anyways..

Went to ALF for first time. Two days of sweet paddling with new folks and getting a new run in the process. Talked with Louie for just a minute about parking idle vehicles during the day. Going back.

Appreciate greatly that Louie helped spawn a low-key (!) event that brings the atomosphere over such an accommodating time frame!

I'm with Craig on this one.

That's great. JUST great! Now I'm going to humming that song in my head for the rest of the day, and probably the rest of this week.

Ditto about the title to the original post.
