OC fun in Montana

Post by NEOC Slalom Rules »

Hows about a little preview of what you've got. I'll be one of the flyboys - air in air out, but I've got Monday following the races to paddle for fun and if I crunch my kevlar baby, so what! Boats are expendsable. Kaz can use the business, so set me up for disaster. Kaz will approve, he might even join us.Seriously, a fun III-IV run would be great and I'm sure you've got some of the prettiest scenery on earth. And some testy whitewater to enjoy it from.

In southwest MT, the Gallatin is running now (near Bozeman, just off of I-94 about twentyfive minutes) The Yellowstone is running (about an hour off of the interstate), snowpacks aren't too good, so these runs will be dropping by July. They're good for another two or three weeks though.

yeah the south western portion of the state is a little dry. If we keep our fingers crossed things should be ok for nationals. as far as other runs near the nationals site we have the alberton gorge at III+ (high water) and buffalo rapids III year round( dam release) North fork of the Blackfoot good creek'n ( so I have heard)
No I don't know those people but it's a small enough town we have probably run into each other
