Well, what a thrilling Stanley Cup game 7! incredible!

I now why Canadians love hockey and canoes. I realized it during the game. I saw this guy on a breakaway -- he flew past the last defender, switched to his backhand, took the shot -- but he couldn't lift the puck. It went low -- right into the goalie's skate.

It reminded me of one time when I tried to boof with an offside stroke and couldn't lift my bow . . .

Hmmm, backhand = offside???

Canadians know what's going on.

Maybe that's why all the folks from the other side of the pond refer to my open canoe as a "Canadian". They're the only ones who have truly figured it out, eh? Great game 7. I only wish the Flames fans had gotten to celebrate Sat. night. I think the Canadian fans appreciate the significance a bit more than the retirees in Tampa Bay.

^ Calgary actaully only has 1 more canadian player than tampa bay did. Tampa has a bnch of great canadian players, and it was great to see Dave anderchuck bring one home...finally after 22 years.

But it has been a while since a canadian team has won....

Not to mention that perhaps a large percentage of the Tampa Bay audience are Canadian "Snowbirds!"

Well, it's just WRONG for the Stanley Cup to go to a place that never gets snow and ice, no matter how good the team played!!

hey man, there's no way you're gonna take away my Stars, I don't care if Dallas sees only 3 or 4 sleetings per year :D

Hey Drew, I have nothing against the Stars as a team, however it was WRONG to move them from Minnesota to Dallas  !!
It was as WRONG as moving the Winnipeg Jets to Arizona, the Hartford Whalers to Carolina and the Quebec Nordiques to Denver (although the latter I can somewhat live with, since at least Denver gets a real winter...).
Hockey should NOT be played in a place that does NOT get a REAL winter!
And NO, 3-4 sleetings a year does NOT count as a winter  !!
