Is that for the composite or plastic version? If you can get a composite version over here for around 750 I'm game:)

Composite Wheelboy

Post by Cone Bone »

I wrote to Marko in March to inquire about a composite Wheelboy. This is what he offered in response:

I have one composite boat at home and the final prototype mold. We are not officially making it in composite. we could but we prefer plastic for better prices. If you want one really badly we can make it. it will be expensive though. please let us know if you still could go for plastic and if not please let us knw what kind of layup you look for.

Marko is finally manufacturing the WheelBoy

Post by Boise Bob »

Drakkar is now producing the WheelBoy. The first 13 boats are now ready for purchase. I will be purchase a WheelBoy.

I live in Boise, Idaho. Who else is still interested in purchasing the WheelBoy? Larry Horne, Cone Bone (Randy), ...? The shipping cost can be reduced by shipping to one location and re-ship them regionally.

I will get the shipping cost to Boise fro 1-3 boats.

Bob - What is the retail price (not including shipping)? I'm considering purchasing one, but was planning on reading the first round of reviews before deciding. Any idea on whether they are lining up a US distributor for future shipments? If your shipment is going to be the only one for awhile, I may join in.

Commitment

Post by Cone Bone »

Bob,

I have to admit that I have been looking at other options... But I will hang tough. If we can get an order together and the price plus shipping doesn't blow me out, I will order a boat.

Feel free to email me direct if you want to while all this gels up.

I am still very interested, but I need to know how much it will cost before I can commit.
( go ahead and put Bruce Farrenkopf down for one, cost is not an issue for him) hey Bruce!

WheelBoy purchase status

Post by Boise Bob »

I've conversed with Marko and he is looking into the shipping cost for 3 boats to Seattle. I also asked for the price of 1 boat to Boise, if I'm the only one purchasing now. I will get the low-down on the total cost sometime next week (I hope).

As for US distributor, you will have to ask Marko. I'm sure there is none yet.

I will post the costs when I get them.
