ISO Magnet C1
Wow, sorry for the long delay in responding. Thanks for your earlier reply re the Magnet. Sounds like a great boat, though I've not paddled one. I"m looking for a very nice cruising boat, and all comments I've read on Magnet are very positive. Corresponded with Andy Bridge, and Magnets are distant memory to him. Maybe I'll see one (C1?) some day.

They are nice boats:)
For cruising you may also want to considering the following, depending on your weight, all of which I believe are still being made:
Millbrook Wide Ride
Millbrook Amoeba
Millbrook Hornet
PS Composites Descender
PS Composites Viper (full volume)
I wonder who has the Magnet mold these days?
If you are in upstate NY (Lake George / Saratoga Springs region) let me know - I have all of the above in the "Cboat museum" (as well as others) and they are available for folks to try out (I'm right on the Hudson River, though it is a flatwater stretch).

I came thiiisssss close to getting the magnet mold after the composite construction stopped at Dagger. I heard it was taken to the dump.. I did get the Blackwater mold ( plug )tho, And the Maverik+ slalom boat mold .
The Magnet was the blackwater with a foot or so taken from the middle is my understanding.
Bummer.

The collected information on the Magnet and Blackwater on this site indicates that the Hahn was the ancestral species, but that the Blackwater and Magnet evolved in somewhat different directions. Clearly the guys that made the magnet did not just hack on an existing design, but worked on their own for an optimum.
I regard the Magnet as the best descendant of the Hahn that I ever paddled, faster, more stable, less porky. I never paddled a Blackwater.
