Longboatin'. What did you do to the boat? Did you hurt it? Scratch it? Crack it? Break it? Or is it in the same condition in which you bought it?

nuthin
She remains unmolested. I detailed the seams a bit. Besides a bit of TLC, indoor storage, an a coat a wax after each outing (couple lake sessions, two river runs) nuthin else done.

it sinks
ESP - 6 3/4 inches hull to deck where ur legs go. Saddle now is 5 1/2, if I take the boat out again I add another inch to see.
ive been 210 down to 186 in the boat. The upper weight work fine, tho as long as u have thinner legs. At 186 I can get my legs jammed in good. when i bigger, fat legs make boat stern heavy.
That said, the boat is good. I can c why people like deck boat.

Re: it sinks
Oh. That must explain why the boat was stuck in the position seen in the above images.Longboatin wrote:fat legs make boat stern heavy.
And Shep, at your weight this Acrobat would be a squirty slalom boat and probably slower than "real" slalom boats. Remember Acrobats come from the Batmax design. So, while it may make for a slower slalom boat, it would make a really fun one.
Here is better information:
And you wouldn't really like a boat with cool tiger stripes anyway.Manufacturer Comment:
The ACROBAT C-1 is the first squirt designed by world slalom champions David Hearn and Jon Lugbill, initiators of the original squirt. This is the ultimate C-1 play boat, performing the same squirt techniques as the kayaks. This low volume boat is the first C-1 to dive into mystery moves while its 29 in width maintains its stability. The ACROBAT performs transition moves, such as cartwheels and screwups, twice as fast and twice as easy as any other C-1. It also carves on a wave like a surfboard, creating rooster tails of spray. The 11'6" ACROBAT has a fast cruising speed and does not dive during upstream paddling. This is THE boat for C-1 paddlers who want maximum performances during playing. Expert paddlers will enjoy its dynamic moves during river running. (from the New Wave catalog)

I WANT, correction, NEED this boat back!!!!! I do not know why I ever sold it. Dumbest decision ever!!!. Longboating, sorry for not having followed up lately, and noit sure when I can make it happen, but if you don't have a taker yet, I'll take er back in a heartbeat!!! Let me know!
TGG!!!
PS: And KNeal, I don't think that this boat would work for you, all I recall is seeing you sit in a stern squirt. You did not seem to enjoy that at alll... !
