LL making more stingers....

Post by Shep »

Jump on their FB page if you want to order one. I'll bet they go fast... They are asking $875, but I guess they would probably go cheaper without any outfitting... Who's gettin a longboat C1?!? :D

They won't sell them C1 Spec, and they're being funny about helping me import it to the UK...
Not at all what I've come to expect from LL to be honest.

I think I probably sent the same email as you (save the importing to the UK bit), asking about just getting the stinger hull.

It sounded to me like they would sell me the hull, but it would cost the same as the outfitted kayak. Can't decided if I really want one that badly.... I was hoping for a bit lower price on the bare hull.

The UK importer is looked into it for me; but the cost of importing it plus the taxes (EU import, UK import & VAT) is as much as the boat itself (which is cheap at a mere £546)...

I suppose it's more money in the Paddlewaggon fund.

i still have one available for sale, $400. It's about 2 years old. Has a retractable skeg, which is a nice feature for the c-1. The skeg needs replaced, which is an easy repair and available from Liquid Logic, I just haven't had a chance to tackle the job because of our home remodeling project that is still dragging on. The boat is an empty shell, just has the foam walls and the center rail. The kayak outfitting is available if needed. Located in Asheville, NC.
