Three boats are nowhere near enough:
Riverrunner: Sith and Outrage
Creeker: Finkenmeister and Prelude (Although that might change once I paddled a production version of the Big Dog Force or the BF Option)
Play: Sith and a Blackfly or the Big Dog Kaos
Squirt: Acrobat for cruising, Ceemweaver for playing and sinking
TGG!

Gives you a lot of leeway. They call me the spin masta.
the responsiveness is what you are lookin for in a playboat. and the Maxims got it.

Only 3!?!
For play - Sith
For Cquirting - Woodie (although I would like to spend some quality time in a Ceamweaver)
For big water / attaining / ocean surf - Viper or Nova (4m slalom boat)
I've been thinking of another 3 boats... NO, make that 4!
My current fleet consists of:
Shaggy Sith
Wavesport Big CZ
Woodie
Winterport Viper
Vajda Nova
Wenonah C1W
Wenonah Marathon
Old Town Scout

You should try a NarLedge.FullGnarlzOC wrote:Gives you a lot of leeway. They call me the spin masta.

Tightened it up 31/2 inches with wooden gunnels and ...
lets just say im gonna have to widen it back up for me.
Got a little beat on the Deerfield, but man is it a fun boat. just got abit more Edge and responsivness, Ill prob keep two sizes of thwarts depending on River,
So NarLedge for classII-III and elf runs.
Widen out the Thwarts when Im stepping up.
Gonna Keep my Nitro for Bigger wider Water, or Continuous class III canoecamping. however I did paddle an Outrage X and for my size could fill the same hole.
And then My ME Explorer for allaround flat moving takin a guest easy canoecamp ,poling solo paddling ect ect.
Tho the paddlecat is greeeat for pickin up chicks on the river!!!

Let's be honest, there's not much to distinguish my "playboating" or "creeking" from my river running, and I don't squirt or race, so I'm easy to please. Here's 3 canoes that I've been satisfied with:
solo OC - Outrage (may get bumped by Ocoee, time will tell)
tandem ww - Vertige X (though I wouldn't care if it was a Caption or Probe 14)
normal canoe - 16' Royalex Nova Craft Prospector (same - more about the type of boat than the brand & details)
Could throw in a C-1 runner/play as a 4th. Or, if I was doing more paddling and stepping up to more creeking, a L'Edge. But I'm not, so I could live with the 3 I listed.
Cool that there are so many boats out there that I haven't seen or tried!
Pat.

strange that some members have a bigger fleet then all oc1's combine in my country....
big or deep water something nice from kaz
shallow or steep legde or option
play hope the place is big enough to get a millbrook vertical
hopefully thwe kaz baot is also big enough for some tandem.
leaves third boat I guess decked slalom C1 from double dutch

If only (3 to) four...
Spanish Fly - For all around every day general use, and whenever there's room for only one boat.... My go to boat.
Advantage I - Downriver Racing, Medium Class Slalom, Combined Class, and Multiday-Self Support. Excellent for cruising around or attaining, makes getting through the flats a pleasure.
Edge- A early creek boat, and Short slalom class. Dated but a pleasure to cruse around in, it's a very predictable fun boat to paddle. The boat that set the standard, of which the Ocoee, Viper(s), Skeeter, CUFly, and S.Fly were measured.
Miss Daisy - Any-length Class Slalom, Deepwater Runs, and when wanting more edge. Of all my short boats, it's the fastest and driest that I own.

Not familiar with the Wenonah boat.... this Advantage was an authorized by Frankie design, originally planned for tandem use. The line's were pulled/lofted from an Edge by a business partner (hence the name) in the short-lived Ocoee Canoe Company. Ended up being a really nice solo 15'footer.
