How about this for a idea?

Post by wayne »

I am thinking about having a change around of my canoes and started to do search of this site to see what people think of their boats, than it hit me: what about another forum for boat review's. That way we would be able to say what we think of our boats as well as see if a boat we are thinking about is any good. :o I don't know how hard that would be to set up or what other people think of it but just an idea.

I don't know how much effort it would be but maybe add a section under the boat descriptions ie "C1 Rec Boats" -> "Viper" then have a review section at the bottom. I've written some sites with PHP and MySql and could help out.

Paddler info

Post by Cone Bone »

I like this idea.

If this idea gels up, I would like to see general info on the contributor as part of the review: Height, weight, OC/C experience level, other boats paddled, etc.

Maybe the info could be part of our member profile.

That would definately be helpfull. I don't think a 5'6" 140 lb guy would find my 6'5" 200lb opinions of a boat too helpfull
