Edge OC-1

Post by granola1861 »

I have an Edge OC-1 and I have a question about it. If someone has one or knows of anyone with one please 'pm' me.

Thanks much in advance!

You mean the fiber slalom Edge?

I know someone paddling such an OC1 but he's not active here though.

How personal is this question? Why not just ask?

Sorry for the "secrecy" guys. Nothing malicious meant at all. I just wanted to connect to someone with whom I could get some measurements on an Edge. I'm wondering if my saddle is in the correct location and curious about thwart lengths.

    Thanks for the feedback.

For thwarts - I make boat width as measured from side to side 24inches. That is to say from the fiberglass sandwiched between gunwale on one side, to the fiberglass/kevlar/composition on the other side.

On the boat at hand - my front/bow thwart measured at 67 1/4" inches..... and the stern/rear thwart 66 inches (precisely 65 7/8ths). These could vary with saddle length. More importantly for my weight, height, arm length, torso, style, opinion ... I like to sit 3inches back from center.

Good luck & enjoy - these are really nice handling boats, with a not so easily duplicated feel.
